ACUCOBOL-GT Thin Client is a lightweight deployment option for ACUCOBOL-GT COBOL applications. It runs application logic on a central server while streaming the user interface to the user’s desktop, delivering a responsive, native experience without a full local install. This model simplifies updates, centralizes data and administration, and reduces client-side footprint. Connections are brokered over standard TCP/IP (commonly via AcuConnect), and most existing ACUCOBOL-GT programs can be enabled for thin-client delivery with minimal changes. It’s well suited for organizations that want to modernize and centrally manage established COBOL systems for distributed or remote users.
ACUCOBOL-GT Thin Client is developed by AcuCorp and is used by 2 users of Software Informer. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 8.1, 9.0, 9.1, 9.1 beta and 9.2. The names of program executable files are ACUTHIN.EXE, multixclient.exe and prowin32.exe.
